New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has held a high-level security briefing in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir. Sources confirmed that in this meeting held in the national capital, New Delhi, Prime Minister Modi was given a detailed briefing about the attack and instructions were received from Prime Minister Modi on the next steps.

Sources confirmed that the high-level security committee meeting chaired by Prime Minister Modi was attended by External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri and other senior security advisors and key officials.

According to sources, Prime Minister Modi reviewed the current situation in this meeting. There was also a detailed discussion on diplomatic relations and he received information from security officials about counter-terrorism measures.

The meeting discussed a strong, "coordinated response" to the Pahalgam attack, and sources confirmed that a retaliation plan will be prepared soon.

India is certain to give a strong response to the Pahalgam attack, and today's meeting chaired by Prime Minister Modi has signaled that a plan is being prepared.

The Pahalgam terrorist attack has sparked widespread outrage in India, with calls everywhere to crack down on the terrorists who took the lives of innocent tourists. In this context, sources have confirmed that the retaliatory measures were discussed in the Security Council meeting chaired by Prime Minister Modi. Security checks have already been tightened in Pahalgam, and a search operation has been launched to find the terrorists who are hiding after attacking tourists.

The Resistance Front (TRF), an affiliate of Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba, has reportedly claimed responsibility for the Pahalgam attack. In this backdrop, tight security arrangements have been made along the border and a large number of security personnel have been deployed.

Prime Minister Modi, who was on a three-day visit to Saudi Arabia, was supposed to return to India tonight (Wednesday, April 23). But as soon as the news of the Pahalgam terrorist attack came to light, Prime Minister Modi canceled his trip and returned home. Prime Minister Modi has just held a high-level security committee meeting, and officials have given clear instructions about the next steps.
