Fines have been imposed on those who violate this rule. It is said that this rule will apply to those who have been in the United States for 30 days or more.

Those residing in the United States temporarily or for a long period of time must register. They are instructed to keep their registration documents with them at all times and show them during police checks.

Foreign nationals residing in the United States, including Indians over the age of 18 who have a US visa, must keep their documents with them at all times. When American officials or police ask you to show them your documents, you must show them. US President Donald Trump has also issued an order requiring these documents to be re-registered. Children in the United States have also been instructed to re-register and submit fingerprints as soon as they turn 14 and obtain a card similar to the Aadhaar card in India.

Donald Trump's new rule is said to apply to all types of visa holders, including Indian H-1B visas and student visas.
