MS Dhoni Opens Up On His IPL Retirement Rumours: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) star player MS Dhoni is not performing well in this IPL 2025 tournament. Especially after seeing his style of play in the match against Delhi Capitals (DC), many are saying that Dhoni is about to announce his retirement. There is a lot of discussion on social media about Dhoni's retirement. However, Dhoni has cleared up the retirement speculations and clarified that he has no plans to retire at the moment.

Speculations have been rife on social media that MS Dhoni has announced his retirement from the IPL. These speculations have gained further momentum after the match between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Delhi Capitals (DC). 43-year-old MS Dhoni has not been performing well in this IPL. His batting has declined and many are expecting this IPL to be his last season.

But MS Dhoni has now cleared up speculations about his retirement, clarifying that "there are no plans to retire at the moment." Yes, Dhoni, speaking on Raj Shamani's podcast, said, "I have no plans to retire from the IPL at the moment."

"After the IPL 2025 tournament is over, I will spend the next 10 months thinking about whether or not I want to play in the next IPL 2026 tournament. "Only after that I will take a clear decision about retirement.." MS Dhoni clarified.

"I am still playing IPL. Let's wait for another year and see. I am 43 years old. By the time this IPL season ends, I will be 44 in July. So I have 10 months to decide whether I want to play another year.." MS Dhoni said in an interview with the podcast when asked about retirement.

Since the start of the IPL 2025 season, MS Dhoni's wicketkeeping and fitness have caught everyone's attention. His mind is sharper than before, and his quick reactions on the field show no signs of abating. But it is only with batting that Dhoni seems to be struggling.

MS Dhoni has been out only once in the four matches he has played this season, but he has not produced a single noteworthy innings. In the match against Delhi Capitals, Dhoni scored 30 runs off 26 balls. His slow batting resulted in CSK losing by 50 runs to DC. CSK has won only 1 match in its first 4 matches. If CSK is to make it to the top 4 this season, a lot of changes will have to be made in the team.

MS Dhoni will turn 44 in July this year. Playing in next year's IPL tournament will depend on his physical fitness. If his body doesn't cooperate, he could retire. But for now, MS Dhoni wants to continue playing.

M.S. Dhoni's fans want their favorite player to be on the field. Dhoni is a key player for the Chennai Super Kings team and his experience and leadership are very important for the team. It remains to be seen whether Dhoni will continue playing or not.
